Letter of congratulations from FDU-Inkingi (Rwanda) to Her Excellency Minister  Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma,  on her election as the Chairperson of the African Union Commission.

Your Excellency,
It gives us immense pleasure to extend, on behalf of the Rwandan opposition FDU-INKINGI, our warmest congratulations and sincere greetings to Your Excellency, as you start this journey in the African history as the first woman to head the African Union Commission.
Your successful dedication to democracy in your country, your leadership in different capacities and your commitment to justice and human rights give more expectations to all African people in the Continent and in the diaspora. We admire your political goals and believe in your impeccable credentials. We are in total agreement with the ANC statement issued yesterday amidst your final election in Addis Ababa, “we too believe that in your hands the African Union is safe”.
We know that your leadership will contribute to bring about a lasting solution in the whole continent and particularly will halt the never – ending conflicts, crimes against humanity and genocide in the African great lakes. A fresh proxy war in the North Kivu (DRC) waged by the so called M23 rebellion has been documented by the addendum to the 2012 interim report by the United Nations (UN) Group of Experts on the DRC released on 26 June 2012. Evidence on the implication of Rwanda in arming, training, financing and recruiting is overwhelming.
On 01 October 2010, the  UN report “DRC: Mapping human rights violations 1993-2003” has documented at length that terrible humanitarian crimes in the DRC were partly committed by the current Rwandan leadership and its army. The plundering of minerals in the DRC continues. There has been no justice.
Your election comes the right time and we are sure you are the right person for the changes needed in Africa today.
We sincerely wish you every success in your new duties.
Yours truly,
Boniface Twagirimana
Interim Vice President
